RISE™ Celebrates Disability Pride Month

It's imperative that we at RISE™ foster a culture of inclusion, pride, and support of all kinds. This includes but is not limited to the diversity and abilities of our team. This month, we are sharing stories of inclusion and support in the hope of inspiring other companies to see beyond disabilities and differences to find true talent and quality team members.

Celebrating diversity and disabilities at RISE™, we attract, excite, develop, retain, reward and promote the most diverse and talented electrical, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical and software designers and engineers the world has to offer.

Executive Assistant to the Chief Product Officer, Rosa Henderson, joined Justin Starbird on the RISE™Inside podcast and blog to share her story of how RISE™ saw beyond her disability to the qualities and skills that add so much to the team. 

The celebration month aims to recognize the intrinsic worth and significant contributions of individuals with disabilities in our communities. According to America's Disability Community, the month is an opportunity to celebrate each person's uniqueness as "a natural and beautiful part of human diversity."

The celebration has received support from all around the world. It is beautifully exemplified by the mindsets and achievements of RISE™Robotics' very own Rosa Henderson and Ken Gray.

Additionally, special guest Michele Sullivan, a well-known author, TED speaker, leader, and advisor on social impact joins Ken Gray on the RISE™Inside podcast to share her experience. Both have flourished and achieved enormous success while confronting their own particular hurdles, and they now seek to support and encourage workplace diversity while emphasizing its numerous advantages.

Ken and Michele believe firmly in recognizing and promoting the abilities, strengths, and immense value of diversity in the workplace. Listen as they share their experiences and views with Justin Starbird on the RISE™Inside podcast and blog.

Danfoss Power Solutions and RISE™Robotics - The Unveiling

A recent event at the RISE™ garage in Somerville, Massachusetts, kicked off the collaboration between Danfoss Power Solutions and RISE™. The June event included key individuals from the Danfoss team, including Danfoss Power Solutions President Eric Alström and the entire RISE™Robotics team. The official unveiling of the new RISE™ 50,000 lbf. RISE™Cylinder took place, the key innovation that has the potential to transform the heavy machinery market through electrification. 

“RISE™’s unwavering dedication to commercializing scalable solutions enabled by advanced technology is the same pioneering spirit that has fueled Danfoss’ journey from startup to industry leader,” Danfoss Power Solutions President Eric Alström. “We look forward to working toward these goals together.”

This collaboration is a cornerstone of RISE™s’ mission to work with a leading global manufacturer, Danfoss, to take the bold steps necessary to battle climate change. This effort will help customers around the world decarbonize.

RISE™Robotics selected as a Winner of the Army xTechSearch 6 Competition

RISE™Robotics has been awarded $25K and now moves forward with the opportunity to submit for a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award of up to $250K. 

The U.S. Army xTech Program, in partnership with the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, announced the 10 winners for the competition’s sixth Expeditionary Technology Search cohort, xTechSearch 6. The open-topic competition solicited small businesses to pitch their transformative technology solutions to the Army and broader Department of Defense ecosystems, within critical technology focus areas from the research and development portfolio.

Chief Product Officer, Ken Gray said, “We are delighted to have been provided an opportunity to understand how RISE™Technology can help US Army warfighters operate more effectively, efficiently and safely. The XTechSearch 6 program has been tremendously helpful for building our understanding while exposing RISE™Robotics’ capabilities to US Army decision-makers and end-users, and we look forward to the opportunity to work closely together again in the future.”
